Northwest Florida Falcons (FWB) versus Crestview Thunderbirds

Loss / 0-21

Our inaugural game against Northwest Florida Falcons hosted at Davidson Middle School.  Police Chief Mitchell did the coin toss and Brody Johnson, Demario Thomas, and Thomas Gordon represented the Thunderbirds.  Falcons won the coin toss and received the ball by the first quarter, we were down 7-0.  By the end of the game, we held them to three touch downs.

As a first game, we are pleased with the results of the game.  No one likes to get shut out, but 21-0 isn't a total embarrassment.  Coaches and team realize it will take 3-4 games for us to learn how to play like a team so anyone expecting a breezy season is sorely misinformed.  Realistically, we hope to avoid any further shut outs this year and be competitive by mid season.  Next year we'll have a team to build off of.

Falcons didn't take any cheap shots about the score and we didn't make any silly excuses.  Brian Lewis (owner/player) and I had some comments that will be posted when we acquire the video.  Looking forward to a friendly rivalry with them and the battle for bragging rights to Okaloosa Counties best football team.  See you guys on your turf on July 11.
