No offense to the Buffalos, but this game
should have been 21-14 and could have gone either way. Instead, the
Thunderbird team that fought so hard against the much larger and experienced Pensacola Wolfpac laid down for the
Panama City Buffalos.
Saturday night was a long hour of football
because we couldn't get our team to work as a team. We were warned the
Buffalos played a little on the rough side but we had less injuries this game
than the previous two games. For myself, other than an elbow to the head
(thanks #37) and a punch to the mouth (missed the tag number on that drive by),
they didn't seem overly rough.
The following day a lady at my church asked
if we played last night. I quickly said "No...but we had a game." Guess
that about sums it up. We'll fix this and get our team back that played
Wolfpac instead of the group of young men that showed up in Panama City. No
excuses - Thunderbirds refused to show up ready for the game.
Players, I will call em as I see em.
Don't like it - fix it. You liked the praises from
Falcons and
Wolfpac games. July 11 is our rematch with the Falcons.
Will it be a day of redemption?
Not surprisingly, Coach Taylor had no announcement for players of the week:
